Meet Michelle McNeil

Michelle McNeil is a Human Resource professional with over 30 years of high-impact leadership and consulting experience. Her expertise in providing strategic HR solutions has significantly contributed to the success and growth of many organizations throughout her career. Michelle has a demonstrated track record in aligning HR initiatives with business goals and ensuring the effective implementation of HR practices across all areas of the organization.

Her specializations include employee relations, HR policy and compliance, organizational design and effectiveness, leadership coaching & development, the design and implementation of compensation and benefit plans, performance & talent management processes; as well as overall HR business-based support.

 

In addition to her expertise in core HR functions, Michelle has significant M&A experience having led 24 acquisitions through full-cycle HR due diligence and pre-announcement planning to post-close integration. She is adept at delivering the value proposition for both the acquired and acquiring companies while fostering empathy and respect for impacted employees. 

Prior to launching her HR Consulting business, Michelle served as Sr. Vice President of Human Resources for People’s United Bank where, in addition to her leadership responsibilities she served as a trusted advisor to senior executives and led various projects and initiatives.  Michelle also was the HR leader for Principal Financial Group and previously, M.D. Health Plan, a start-up physician owned HMO.

Michelle holds a B.S. in Human Resources Management from the University of Connecticut.   She lives in Connecticut with her husband and two dogs, is a passionate mentor helping college students launch their professional lives, avid reader and enjoys spending time at her lake home in New Hampshire.
